Vice President, Power Business Development

Thomas Adams is Vice President for the Power market sector division of ABS Group. Adams has more than 20 years of experience in power generation, energy technologies and energy management. In this role, he has responsibility for creating solutions for ABS Group's conventional, nuclear and renewable customers that deliver quality projects, high-performing operations and compliance in the power industry's complex regulatory environment.
Prior to joining ABS Group, Adams held senior positions at Wood Group including head of the global business development team for its power projects EPC business unit and leading international business development for its power plant operations and maintenance business unit. In these roles, he worked with domestic and international utilities and independent power producers to develop, engineer and construct successful power plant projects, and deliver long-term operations and maintenance solutions.
Adams' additional experience includes past senior business development and operations positions for national energy services firms in California and Texas for which he worked with domestic and international customers on innovative energy outsourcing and energy efficiency programs. Additionally, he was head of project development and operations for a venture funded distributed generation company in California.
Adams obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer (Mechanical) in California.
