Cal/OSHA's PSM Regulation: Safeguard Protection Analysis (SPA)
As part of a complimentary webinar series addressing regulatory changes to improve Process Safety Management (PSM), ABS Group will address forthcoming revisions to the California Department of Industrial Relations' proposed new PSM standard for improving safety in petroleum refineries.
The latest version of the change to the Cal/OSHA PSM Regulation was published in July 2016 and is expected to be finalized in 2017. This regulation includes revision of existing PSM elements as well as the addition of new PSM elements and topics such as Safeguard Protection Analysis (SPA).
To support the Oil, Gas and Chemical sector with understanding the new SPA requirements, this webinar will focus on the following objectives:

Gary Carrithers
Gary Carrithers has more than 39 years of experience in PSM, process hazard analysis (PHA), risk assessment, and chemical/petrochemical plant engineering/operations. Prior to joining ABS Group, his broad PSM related experience at Rohm and Haas Company included in-depth involvement in many PSM element programs and PSM activities at the plant and corporate level. Prior to that, Carrithers provided both management and operations and engineering and technology support in numerous processes and facilities for Rohm and Haas.
