Platts 17th Annual Liquefied Natural Gas Conference

Mark McNiel, ABS Group Director of Business Development for LNG, will join panelists from the Center for LNG, Pivotal LNG and JAX LNG during a session titled "LNG Bunkering Outlook" at the 17th Annual LNG Conference. The panel discussion will take place on Day 2 of the conference at 11:30 am CST on Tuesday, February 13. The presentation will provide insights on LNG supply and demand through 2020, the status of building port infrastructure for LNG bunkering in North America and supply-side perspectives on bunkering logistics, among other LNG market and engineering topics. AIChE 14th Global Congress on Process Safety

Join us at the 2018 Spring Meeting and 14th Global Congress on Process Safety (GCPS) from April 22-26 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. GCPS covers the critical needs of process safety practitioners as well as a wide range of technical subjects relevant to process industries. Steve Arendt, ABS Group VP of Oil, Gas and Chemical, will present two papers, "Case Studies and Lessons from Process Safety Culture Improvement Initiatives" and "Making Everyone a Barrier Guardian," which will describe the results of process safety layers of protection/LOPA evaluations from several refineries.

Risk Management Using Bowties

ABS Group will provide a two-day training course focused on Risk Management Using Bowties in Knoxville, TN, May 8-9. This course will introduce the Bowtie Method and the steps involved in identifying process safety layers. Trainees will also participate in hands-on construction of bowties, both on paper and using ABS Group's THESIS BowTie™ Risk Management software, and will learn more about the new CCPS and UK Energy Institute book on Bowtie Risk Management. IChemE: Hazards 28

Hazards 28 is presented by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and brings together process safety practitioners from around the globe to share expert knowledge, latest developments and lessons learned to promote a continuous focus on safer operations. Covering every major aspect of process safety and risk management, the conference will provide essential insight into how to manage and reduce risk effectively.
