Mr. Wallis has over 10 years of experience, primarily in the field of military, national security, risk, and policy analysis as well as in the realm of Legislative and Government Affairs. He utilizes his strong analytical and presentation skills cultivated from his experiences as a staffer on Capitol Hill for various Members of Congress and the Office of the House Historian as well as in the military and Veteran non-profit realms.
A graduate from the U.S. Naval War College with a master’s in National Security & Strategic Studies, Mr. Wallis has effectively used his presentation skills when providing written and oral testimony to various House and Senate Committee’s when advocating for national security and defense needs of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard as well as Veteran related budget items. Mr. Wallis has provided training and developed curriculum on a multitude of subjects ranging from Legislative processes, to Congressional history and procedures, as well as equipment and benefit needs of the Navy and Veteran Community. Audiences for these courses included new Members of Congress, new Congressional staff, senior military leaders and various executives in companies.
In his capacity at ABS Group, Mr. Wallis has provided presentation material on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Bunkering opportunities and feasibility studies for a variety of interested stakeholders including the U.S. Coast Guard, various Port Authorities, Transport- Canada, the U.S. Navy, various Maritime Associations and representatives from the Maritime industry. In addition, Mr. Wallis has helped clients, such as the Department of Transportation- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) develop ISO 9001 compliant Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs). Furthermore, he has developed training materials on API Standards, Recommend Practices (RPs) and Specifications as well as evaluating self-certification and self-inspection programs used by domestic and international regulators to ensure compliance and promote safety in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). These courses were developed for a variety of clients including the United States’ Bureau for Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and Colombia’s offshore oil regulatory agency, la Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos (ANH). Mr. Wallis is also able to fluently speak in Spanish.
