Most safety regimes around the world require an accredited third party reviewer to verify that safety critical equipment and systems function as intended and are in good working order during the asset life cycle. As an independent verification body (IVB), certified verification agent (CVA) or other third party reviewer, ABS Group has the technical competence to verify that such assets are designed, constructed and operate in accordance with the applicable national and international standards, classification society rules, industry guidelines and recommended practices as specified.

Objective Design Verification
Maintaining incident-free operations starts in the conceptual design phase and should be carried through all stages of project development to operations and beyond. Using industry experience and in-depth technical knowledge, we work closely with clients to verify that all stages of design meet the appropriate and applicable codes, standards and recommended practices. Independently or as part of the design verification service, ABS Group provides third party inspection services to validate that the equipment, systems and technologies under review meet designated and required operating standards.
Third Party Endorsement
Through our unbiased Statement of Fact reporting, ABS Group provides design review and third party endorsement services in support of the Approval in Principle (AIP) process for verifying new design concepts for structures, equipment and technology.
We verify design integrity of associated systems and equipment for compliance with applicable design codes and standards, project specifications and underlying safety issues. This includes providing criticality assessments, reviews and calculations to determine objectively where to focus verification activities.
Our source inspection services at supplier and vendor sites for manufacturers, owners and other shareholders verify that the equipment or goods have been manufactured in accordance with a client's specifications and other applicable quality system requirements as specified.
