ABS Group Success at EWEA Offshore
December 16, 2013
ABS Group exhibited at the 2013 EWEA Offshore Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany on Nov. 19-21. Held biennially, EWEA Offshore is the world’s largest offshore wind event and is designed as an international platform for the industry to discuss challenges and to showcase the latest products and services.
“The European Offshore Wind Energy market is continuously growing,” Torsten Muuss, ABS Group Director of Renewable Energy, said. “Energy distributors, developers, investors, banks, insurance companies as well as manufacturers and certification bodies need to work more closely together in order to successfully manage their operations and triumph over the political, commercial and technical challenges they face.”
The conference sessions offered at the event focused on such challenges. Conference tracks included market strategies and planning, project financing, supply chain industrialization, and future technologies. The exhibition provided an open space for discussion of these topics as well as networking with colleagues and potential clients.
“We had several fruitful meetings and discussions about manufacturing quality assurance, condition monitoring strategies, structural integrity and risk management,” Muuss said. “Based on the discussions and positive atmosphere we expect to see continuous growth of the European offshore wind energy market.”
